New SSL cert: Generate a new CSR or use existing?

    My single-domain standard SSL cert is going to expire. I intend to buy from GoDaddy this time as the price is only US$12.99/year.

    1) Should I generate a new CSR for GoDaddy SSL cert or should I use the existing one?

    2) If I generate a new CSR, will it cause my existing SSL cert to fail. It still has one month validity.

    Sorry for this dummy questions.

    It is alright! I decided to get a 2-year GoDaddy cert (at US$25.98) RIGHT NOW since before the promotion is gone.
