new user have nobody grop

    new user have nobody group

    Hello,

    Have strange problem.
    I have FreeBsd 6.2 with lastes whm/cpanel and all another services.

    Problem is:
    When user copy some files on his home folder, his files is on his name but group is nobody, and normal his page dont work, 500 internal error.

    Why this happent, how to fix this?

    This may be issue with permission problem. Have you checked the permission of public_html Folder/directory. If you need any further assistance, let me know with your queries in binoy.varghese@slashome.com

    no no, this is for all users.

    exp. i create user and when he try to upload his files is on nobody group.

    Hi,

    You can change the ownership of the folder(chown -R username.username /home/username/public_html/*) and see how does it goes...

    yes, i know that..
    but i dont want for all users doo that, and when he upload something, to doo same thing.

    some problem is on fbsd and whm, dont get it.
    i was write to cPanel support ticket and waitng for answer...

    This is a 'feature' of FreeBSD - the FTP uploads automatically inherit the group ownership of the directory.

    i reslove the isuss.
    by help from support of cPanel.

    The problem was is in:
    in file:
    "/opt/suphp/etc/suphp.conf"
    edit next:
    paranoid_gid_check=true
    to
    paranoid_gid_check=false

    and i dont have problems anymore :)

    same problem

    I am having the same problem using GNU/Linux where do i find the mentioned files to alter their not called the same thing in GNU/Linux
