I had some mails disappear into a blackhole, quite unintended today. I don't think that's happened before, as I've used that configuration for some time before.

I've got SpamPal set up with Pegasus Mail.

Today I freaked because my test messages didn't reach me at my other domain. I had set one of my domains up as a return address, but in the receiving tab of Internet options, I had a username on this pattern:

    Return-Path: <"username@domain.com%mail.mailserver.com"@localhost>

I took this matter quite far with support, and finally got a look at the maillog. I saw something I didn't think I'd see:

    2004-05-31 09:48:52 H=(mail.mymailserver.com) [xx.xx.xx.xx] F=<"username@domain.com%mail.mailserver.com"@localhost> rejected RCPT <myusername@myotherdomain.com>: Sender verify failed

    So, SpamPal/Pegasus users beware!

Can you duplicate this result with other mail programs, or is it just this one (with SpamPal).

Just a little while ago I did a test, and one of those messages went through to myrealbox.
