Hi there, can anyone please help me? I made a new website using wordpress. My old site is still live and if I copy all the contents from the wordpress folder into the www directory and delete the old index file, the page opens, but without any graphics and in a different format.

What is the correct way to publish the new site, do I need to change anything in Wordpress, or did I place this in the wrong directory?

Why dont you copy your old website into a new sub folder for a backup and then install wordpress in www?

It seems your wordpress files are not getting copied, since there is already another similar folder / file existent, or the CSS is not being overwritten.

You also need to change the Wordpress Website URL path.

Thanks for your help, re installed wordpress to the default directory from the start. I am busy editing the pages now, the changes are live, but its okay. It goes much quicker now. Would you like a link when its finished?

Thanks again. You helped me a lot!
