Newbie ask about editing tag

I don't Know is here the right place to asking about my problem.
How to hide meta tag on the site, someone says that it must editing the php file. Is that true ?

META tags are HTML code, which is plain text. For a static HTML site, it has nothing to do with PHP. Just open the file in any text editor and remove the tag.
