Newbie, couple of questions i need answering please.

This all new to me setting up whm side.

Ok so the first thing i change was the hostname from the default, i now get a message saying certificate has expired a self signed one was created to replace it. ?

Also the nameservers, do they have to be linked to a domain name or can they be totally made up? and do you have to use ns1. & ns2. or could i use for example cc1. & cc2. ?

This is normal.

The name servers must be registered.
If you have name servers ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com then you go to the registrar of the domain yourdomain.com and register those nameservers.

Also you must add A records for ns1 & ns2.
You edit the DNS Zone of the domain yourdomain.com and add A records, so that they are pointing to 2 IP addresses in your server.

And the name servers do not have to be ns1 & ns2, they can be for ex. cat & dog, if you prefer.
