[Newbie]First WHM experience

Recently got a VDS and it's my first try at the backend side with WHM.

I have 2 problems.

1. How can I ssh to my WHM? I see where I can have shell access via cPanel, but I don't see that option in WHM. Never accessed ssh before so I'm clueless.

2. The reason I need shell access is to correct the problems I'm having with the personal nameservers to point to my domain. It shows I have 5 dns zones even though there isn't any added! There is some conflict but I need to view the config files.

Does anyone have a screen shot/Flash walk-thru on how to configure nameservers for us newbies (especially what to enter in the Edit DNS Zone)? For whatever reason I can't get the nameservers to resolve the domain name to my site...yes, they are configured at the register already.

Please help!

Hi,

I do not suggest you to access to SSH if you do not know what you're doing. Anything silly and you might broke the OS.
