Newbie needs help

I just got a dedicated server (supposedly a managed server) The hosting company just got a cpanel agreement(so they say) they don't seem to know what they are doing. The set up the server and whm and they cannot answer a few basic questions for me.

I have not been able to move my files to the new server, I am wondering how to setup the username and password for the new site cpanel.

Also how do i tell if they even set the cpanel up right it has been a week and i cant get in to mysite.com/cpanel , i am beeing told it is a dns problem that they are trying to fix.

Any help would be appreciated and then i can go from there.

No such ting as a totally managed server if you want things done right do it your self

Try http://yourdomain.tld:2082 or https://yourdomain.tld:2083
it's port 2086/2087 for WHM.

Your login for WHM will be root and your root password for the password. If cPanel has just been set up there will not be a cPanel account, so log in to WHM.
