    How can I get a directory structure list for my server? I am spending alot of time just finding out where files are located. Is there a function or script that will give me a list or GUI from the root?

    I don't have a problem using ssh but it took me forever just to find and edit php.ini

    Thanks,

    In SSH typing "ls" will list the files and directories in the current directory.
    Typing "locate FILEORFOLDERNAME" you can find a specific file or folder by replacing the capitals with the real name.

    And dont forget there is find command also : )
    find
    -exec COMMAND \;

    Carries out COMMAND on each file that find matches. The command sequence terminates with \; (the ";" is escaped to make certain the shell passes it to find literally). If COMMAND contains {}, then find substitutes the full path name of the selected file for "{}".
