    Nginx isn't necessarily going to cause 'high server load', in fact it'll take a bit away from that, but if you're noticing high server load, you need to have your server admin figure stuff out.

    This is not related to cPanel and/or the nginx automated installer.

    You should refer to nginx forum Nginx Forum or search Google. Also, you could just look at logs, they might tell you more on why the worker are shutting down.

    Usually /tmp is mount with noatime, so this won't remove any file. Use -m instead of -u

    Is it possible to have the config /etc/nginx/vhosts/domain.com deleted automatically when an account is terminated through cPanel?

    I have quite a few zombie configs just sitting around as they're never deleted; and it's quite tedious reconciling actual accounts to server configs.

    I'm seeing the following error when adding an addon domain - I've tried on two separate servers with the same error on both:

    Code:
    File "/usr/local/cpanel/hooks/addondomain/addaddondomain", line 26
        if yip == serverip:
        ^
    SyntaxError: invalid syntax
    Cpanel::AdminBin::adminstor(hooks) set error in context subdomain
    This is v1.5 but all the previous versions have the same code in this file.

    hi:
    i have installed nginx using the 1.4 script on whm 11.26 and it works like a charm .
    i got this problem inside VB forum, when you view the online script is shows the server ip instead of the user real ip .
    i have add the full code not just the mention below :
    Code:
                proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:8081/;
                proxy_set_header   Host   $host;
                proxy_set_header   X-Real-IP  $remote_addr;
                proxy_set_header   X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for;

    but it didnt solve it .
    so while am searching i found that i have to use the mod_rpaf to fix this issue, and it yes it was solved [ read this link ].
    today i have noticed that none of the status log programs work all of the gives none at all even awstats .

    so any idea how to fix this ?

    Try going to WHM>>>Nginx-Admin>>>>Rebuild Vhosts should fix that problem.

    I just went to your website... This is not free? It says on the site you have to pay... Does this mean the copy you linked to here is only a trial?

    I do not want to install this to find out it is a trial and is limited...

    Cannot restart after install, it shows the following errors:

    bind() to 217.23.1.79:80 failed (99: Cannot assign requested address)

    and I recently changed my main IP to 217.23.1.80. I hope I could be some resolution to this issue.

    Hey guys,

    I just got this up and running on a CPanel server and so far it's great. This is my first time working with nginx however, so I'm learning as I go.

    By default, how optimized would you say this install is? Also, the fcgi and proxy config files - does this mean that they're enabled by default or do you have to add them into the "includes" in the nginx.conf?

    Also, are there any "essential" tweaks that you would suggest? The target audience that I'm going for is a typical shared server with anywhere between 500 and 2,000 HTTP connections at any given time.

    Thanks.

    Hi! I love this script, but there's one major flaw with it...

    I had installed this and now am removing it. This is because one of my clients has a forum. Now that I have installed this, the forum (upon registering) spits out a message saying it doesn't allow registrations via proxy.

    You need to find a way to make it so that nginx is not detected as a proxy... Then I would definitely reinstall it :)

    Anyone with a forum (or clients with forums) beware, after installing you may have 0 new users each day :P

    Another thing - when you add new accounts/addon domains to a server are they picked up by nginx and added or am I going to need to manually run "rebuild vhosts" to update it?

    If so, does anyone have a solution to have it automatically update?

    nginx is not that kind of a proxy. Its a proxy server to Apache. It doesn't try to hide its true IP address. I suspect your clients forum had someone go through a proxy server (masking their real IP address ) to register on the forum.
