Got notice that Cpanel version 96 is now available and includes NGINX for caching.

I am currently running 94 and have EnginTron installed which has setup NGINX as a caching server for me.

Do I need to / should I remove Engintron before upgrading to 96?

Thanks!

Hello @Scott Greczkows

Given that Engintron is specifically for switching Apache to nginx, I'm not certain how this 3rd party tool will react to the v96 upgrade in general. That said, under normal circumstances I would not expect the upgrade to v96 to automatically switch to ea-nginx.

I'd recommend reaching out to Engintron support. See if they've tested their plugin through the upgrade process to v96. It's not uncommon for plugins to require updates themselves after a cPanel version upgrade.
