Hello,

I've tried to install cpanel on suse10 twice times.
first a fresh installation and second with bind and other packages i've found in a thread.

in both times apache doesnt be installed on the server!
there comes always any problem in the compile log.
i'm now installing a third time and will post the log after that.

is there any known bug with suse10?

kind regards
horst

I am not sure what bug are you talking about. We manage servers with Suse v10 and didn't have any problem. Did you re-format your HD before every fresh install of the cPanel? Did you install major comiplers including gcc, Perl and moduels You shouldn't be instaling Apache with Suse, since the cPanel comes with its own Apache server. Did you allocate enough spcae for partitions?

yes, i've made a reformat and there is enough space on the server.
after installation, i've tried to recompile apache in the web interface, then there was a message about aps .... -check-install or something, i've done this about 5 times, and after that he compiles apache without any problem.

now i have the problem, when i go to the main site there are no images shown also i can't add any user or reseller.

i think i reinstall the server again.

thnx for your help

you say you are running cpanel with suse 10?
whitch modules did you install?

i've made a minimal installation of suse and then i've installed perl and all development tools and all perl modules.

i hope now, the installation running well.
