I really do not want to touch the system a lot because it is a very important client and I want to avoid it against time. That is why I prefer to consult their advice to resolve this issue.

Hello @yuma2020,

The installation error you noticed with the APC PECL module is reported as part of the following PHP bug report:

PHP :: Bug #65897 :: APC doesn't compile

The conclusion of that case is that APC is not expected to work beyond PHP version 5.5 because the opcache caching system is automatically built with PHP. If you would like to install the APCu PECL module instead, you could manually install a legacy version that works with PHP 5.6 via a command like this:
