Is it just me or other people having problems receiving emails from this forum?? I've tried adding this forum domain/email to our Exim various whitelist files, and still we can not receive any emails emails from this forum. After trying with two other email accounts, my yahoo.com email address was the only one that I can use to receive emails from this forum. Here is a snip from the exim log files:

    exim_rejectlog:
    Code:

    F=<nobody@lightning.cpanel.net> temporarily rejected RCPT <cgimickalo@thunder-rain.com>:
Could not complete sender verify callout

    exim_mainlog:

I have tried adding serveral domain/email addresses, coming from this forum, in our Exim sender/verify whitelist to avoid these errors, but it's doesn't seem to help.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix for this. Strange that only my yahoo email will receive emails from this forum and not my others. Even my ISP email address will not accept emails from this forum. The admin for this forum needs to fix this .... PLEASE!!

    I also have this issue.

    I've followed this post

    http://forums.cpanel.net/showpost.php?p=280033&postcount=21

and added in *@lightning.cpanel.net into /etc/whitelist_senders

    This is in the logs

    Code:
2007-02-26 12:10:50 H=(lightning.cpanel.net) [69.90.250.146] sender verify defer for <nobody@lightning.cpanel.net>: could not connect to lightning.cpanel.net [69.90.250.146]: Connection timed out
2007-02-26 12:10:50 H=(lightning.cpanel.net) [69.90.250.146] F=<nobody@lightning.cpanel.net> temporarily rejected RCPT <xxx@websmartcentral.com>: Could not complete sender verify callout

So the first error is most likely what's stopping emails from these forums.

I'm having the same problem, and ended up changing my forum email to a gmail account.

Because not all servers respond to the callout email checking (like the servers that host this forum), I've turned off the callout checking feature of cPanel.

It's a great idea and cuts out a heap of SPAM but if all servers don't respond to it, to many legitimate emails get lost, and it makes the whole thing a joke and waste of time.

PS with callout checking off, of course the cPanel emails come through.

    Thanks
    Aaron

but that kinda defeats the purpose, right?

What's the point of cPanel including this feature in their script, if their own emails are being blocked by it?

P.S. Where did you disabled it?
