If you are in a rush, you can start here

Google asks you to place a portion of code on your homepage to ensure it is in fact your site, and on the next available crawl they will try to index your site.

The only way google can know about a website is if it finds a link on another website to your site - doesn't happen very often when your site is new so using the above URL is probably your best bet.

Having said that, it can take at LEAST two weeks (in some cases) before google next indexs your site.

According to their conditions of that URL they may or may not index your site even after you've asked them too - it's up to them basically and there is no guarantee.

Things to consider, if a site appears under construction - they tend to not index. If your site has very little text and only a portal image - they tend to not index as they can't find content. Images don't count when it comes to google.

    See how you go.
