    Hello,

I tried installing ruby . I followed this documentation Installing Ruby . But I don't have ruby listed in my yum. So if I install ruby from source and after then I issue /scripts/installruby , will it work? Or do you have any alternate solution?

    Thanks

Try to update yum by issuing following command:

    yum update

Once you update yum, issue following command:

    yum install ruby

    It should work.

    Hello,

Please do not pre-install ruby. Our ruby and rails installer will install both. You should only need to run /scripts/installruby to install the components necessary to run Ruby and Ruby on Rails applications.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

But when I use /scripts/installruby, the ruby install fails. I think there is no ruby package available in my repo. Because the documentation says to check whether we have ruby package listed in our repo and we don't have it listed. Do you know any repo that provides ruby package?

If ruby is failing to install, what error message is the script indicating is the exact cause? Please post the error message.
