    Hi all,

    I need your help.
The user "nobody" gets ownership of all files uploaded via the website (PHP-script). I need to download and delete the uploaded files via FTP. But I also need to open/ view the uploaded files on the website.

When I try to change ownership with chown, Indicator PHP script error: Operation not permitted

What do I do wrong and how do I proceed?

Oh happy day - and HappyCoder

    Hello :)

Have you considered using suPHP so the files are owned by the account username when they are uploaded via the PHP script? You can find more information on suPHP at:

    Apache PHP Request Handling

As for changing the ownership of existing files, please ensure you attempt to complete this via SSH, FTP, or cPanel File Manager.

    Thank you.
