Nobody User

    Most of my users have been hit with something going on with the Nobody user having over 100%+ in processor usage. It's overloading my server, does anybody know what's going on?

    Same happening here, as well.
    It seems that a perl script causing this problem. The thing is that this script is running as nobody. Is there a way to the user or the script that causing this?

    Any suggestions?

    Find out if there are scripts residing on your server used to send out massive number of email messages. If yes, disable them.

    Applying the latest security patches and fixes protecting your server from hackers and viruses is highly recommended. PM me if you need help!

    Thanks for the tips AndyReed. The OS and cPanel is running with the latest patches installed. I've checked mailq many times but I didn't see any high number of emails.
    How can I check if and when a user is sending out a massive number of emails?
