    Hello,
Does anyone know why user nobody would be using such a high CPU percentage?

In WHM -> Todays CPU Usage panel I see the following:

It is also causing httpd to fail continously.

I have asked configservers to help, but they are currently very busy.
    Any help appreciated.

    Ceers,

    - Vince

Those are your usual Apache child processes; the daemon is spawned by root but the child processes are owned by nobody. If you have suexec or phpsuexec, then CGI scripts and PHP scripts (respectively) will run as the user that called them.

If your Apache is constantly crashing you might want to try checking your logs or perhaps some net utilities (tcpdump etc.) to check for excessive usage or even floods. Although it is possible that you're recieving more hits than your hardware can handle.

check apache status in whm and see which site on the server is causing this load. afterwards you can do more investigations you just need to find the root cause of the load

That is exactly where I looked and got the above information from.
In WHM -> Server Status -> CPU/Memory/MySQL Usage -> Todays CPU Usage panel

There are only 2 sites on this server, and they both showed up with less than 20% CPU each.
    But Nobody was over 45% ... !!!

I have since rebuilt apache (from within WHM), and also disabled AWstats, and loads are back to normal wand user nobody not even showing up as using any CPU today.

Only thing is, I'm not sure what caused it. Maybe I'll try re-enabling AWstats again to see if it happens again.

    Cheers,

    - Vince
