Hi im new to all this server stuff...

i just bought a server it has cPanel/WHM on it

Ive made an account on it for my forum. using WHM
My server currently does not have a domain on it, its using an IP

    Ive set my nameservers to
    ns.lyricalsoundz.com
    ns1.lyricalsoundz.com

ive contacted my previous host to change my domains nameservers to that.

    my domain is www.lyricalsoundz.com

is it okay to have the domain im going to use for my nameservers as a domain for my account where the forum is going to be.
Do i have to register a nameserver or something or can i leave it as that?

If they a private nameservers and not that of your host providers, they will need to be registered in order for you to use them. Check with the place you registered your domain with and see if they also register nameservers as it's easier to have your records in one place to keep organized.

It could take a day to register and propogate.
