    Question about backup from WHM/cPanel

I use the GUI to run backups to my backup ftp server which works fine. Then, if I ever need to restore, I tunnel in via Putty to the server and get the backup, pull to the main server, and restore via GUI.

Would it ever make sense for me to move from ftp backup to cloud backup? I was just looking for a cheaper option. But I'm not sure how easy it is to configure.

Ideally I would use Dropbox, but I don't think you can do that. Maybe Amazon S3?

Or just leave well enough alone?

    Thanks, guys (and gals)!!!

    Hello :)

One thing to keep in mind is that cPanel currently only supports backups to remote servers via FTP. It's possible the alternative services you mentioned will require manual intervention on your part.

    Thank you.
