Is it normal on Cpanel machines to have Urchin not to work on port 9999 some time after it's been installed?

    Thanks.

your firewall is not blocking 9999 port? Cpanel will not shut down your ports by itself (AFAIK)

Nope not blocking with a firewall.

In fact Urchin was working on port 9999 immediately after installation, but after a period of time (say 24 hours or so) it seems to not work anymore via the port.

I thought I read somewhere that Cpanel deliberately shuts down some part of Urchin, but does that include the port 9999 access too?

cPanel will shot down teh urchin scheduler and webserver when stats are processed at night. That, while annoying, is normal.
