When i click to view the file it just shows code, it doesn't open the url to the file. It's been this way since the new file manager. is there something i am missing or do I have to use a certain browser?

I use the latest firefox as of now.

Is there anyway to revert back to the old file manager or make it so you can go to the url like you used to be able to for years.

It was such a crucial option I can't imagine why it is removed.

maybe a way to edit the code so the view option goes to the url instead of the edit view page in cpanel?

That sounds like a server-side issue. You should have one of our technical analysts take a look at that for you: http://tickets.cpanel.net/submit

If you mean clicking View displays the file contents, then that is what the function is supposed to do.

The Legacy File Manager is available, which contains the same functionality as before. If your Admin has not disabled the icon, the Legacy File Manager should appear next to the File Manger icon in the cPanel interface.
