everything is rosey, yet dnsreport offers the following:

ERROR: One or more of the nameservers listed at the parent servers are not listed as NS records at your nameservers. The problem NS records are:
    NS.corporatehosting.org.
    NS2.corporatehosting.org.

and, though no problem bulkregfister and onlinenic registries, networksolutions is not allowing the name servers??

    anyone have an idea???

Are you running your own name servers?

If so make sure that you have the following.

    pico /etc/resolv.conf

    domain your.domain.com
    search your.domain.com
    nameserver 127.0.0.1
nameserver IP address of your nameserver1
nameserver IP address of your nameserver2

Also make sure that you have the correct entry in your DNS entry. The zone file needs to contain your nameserver information and IP address. The zone file is your domain.com, goto edit and confirm the details regarding your FQDN are there.

    Hope this helps.

Do we need to add all our resellers too ? I guess so...

BTW : I restarted bind, but DNS report still reports the error...

I guess I need to wait for the propagation, right ?

    I had :

    nameserver 127.0.0.1
    domain darkorb.net
    search darkorb.net
    nameserver 66.197.217.12
    nameserver 66.197.217.11

Do I simply add my nameservers ?
    ( I did that.. )

Just add your IP's for your name servers....That's it.

from your box do a nslookup
form here type in the following ns1.yournameserver.com.au

It should return the nameserver and the IP

    > ns1.yournameserver.com.au
    Server: 127.0.0.1
    Address: 127.0.0.1#53

    Name: ns1.yournameserver.com.au
    Address: 207.48.216.91

You have now confirmed that your nameserver knows ns1 and the correct ip.

Now we move away from your box:

    type the following:

    > server ns1.optusnet.com.au
    Default server: ns1.optusnet.com.au
    Address: 203.2.75.2#53
    > ns1.yournameserver.com.au
    Server: ns1.optusnet.com.au
    Address: 203.2.75.2#53

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: ns1.yournameserver.com.au
    Address: 207.48.216.91 (eg Only)

As soon as the Non-authoritative answer with your nameserver and IP is returned you are live ;-)
