Hello and greetings from Portugal. :)

I'm guessing this could be a recurring issue here, but as my knowledge of CPanel is still very limited (I've only started, or better said, attempted to start an online radio last week with some friends), here's my question:

I'm using the CPanel for a period of 3 months, with the intention of making it permanent in the future, and I've started with 1GB user space. I was trying to make a playlist on my PC which occupies around 960mb but I can't upload it, the server says there's 856mb used although there's nothing there! I've checked also through the FTP connection and even erased the demo folder (with Madonna and Coldplay), but still no result.

I know one of my friends tried to upload a playlist some days ago, but it only uploaded correctly around 15 songs (which I also erased). His internet connection isn't that good, which I suppose it didn't help either. And even today I realised he also used VBR files, which he couldn't.

So what the hell happened with the 1GB space? Could this have happened due to upload errors?

I opened a ticket on costumer help, but I'm also counting on more experience users (you guys) to help me out.

Thank you!

Regards,
Francisco

Hello :)

Have you tried checking the "Disk Space Usage" option in cPanel? This option provides an overview of the disk space that your account is using.

Thank you.

It's under the "Files" section in cPanel. It's possible your host has disabled this feature, so you may need to consult with them directly for assistance in determining where the usage is coming from.

Thank you.
