Whenever I try to send an email to someone not on the server I get this odd error:

There was an error sending your message: unable to add recipient [bah@bah.com]: Invalid response code received from server

Any ideas? Poking around google / here didn't turn up much result :(

    Go on, have a guess
You need to have a look in the server logs to find out the real error. if you do the following (on a Linux server) and then send an email, you should get a more meaningful error from exim:

    tail -f /var/log/exim_mainlog

This is what I get from the log . .

Oct 21 10:28:41 HORDE [error] [imp] unable to add recipient [bah@bah.com]: Invalid response code received from server [on line 931 of "/home/httpd/vhosts/webmail/horde/imp/compose.php"]

Doesn't seem to explain it any better :(
