My first adventure into CPanel. Things are going well enough so far, it's quite different from the other management panels ive used before but i digress.

Note: I have a dedicated server setup with focalhosting, i didn't install cpanel myself however beyond installation it has been a solo flight.

Basically 3 things I am not sure of:
    - memory usage always shows 100%, I have tried the 'graceful reboot' but same error.
    - mysql appears to be missing
    - interchange appears to be missing.

I say 'missing' because i get an email every 10min saying the server is trying to restart the process. Is there a way for me to reinstall mysql and interchange myself? (Note: I don't have physical access to the box)

    how about an easier question.

what do i search for in "Install a Port" to setup mysql?

I think i might just start trying a few from the list of 20 or so hits for search of 'mysql'

i dont understand why it wouldnt come installed by default when clearly it is an option in cpanel? maybe i am missing a piece of this puzzle in my noobie confusion..

i tried something that said mysql server 3 and it looked like it installed the package and now i can use msql so cool for that, maybe this could be in the manual cause i had nfi and i gave the setup docs a bit of a read before i started.

    Re: mysql

    same problem here.
even latest EDGE (7.6.0-EDGE 14) doesn't solve this problem.
    MySQL 3.23.56

cpanel support resolved this for me by upgrading to mysql4 - worked fine after that.
