One reseller account, multiple shared IPs?

Is it possible to have more shared IPs within one reseller account (or for root)? Let me explain... My VPS account has one main shared IP which all of the accounts created under this "master / reseller" account share. All newly created shared IP accounts use this one.

Now let's say I'd like to direct WHM to use another IP address for several new accounts. I know I can give a unique IP for each of the new accounts but I'd like them to share just one... but not the main shared IP.

Does this make sense? It's a bit late ;)

I understand I can accomplish this by creating another reseller account and use this new reseller account as the master account but I am not sure if it's possible without this step, which I would prefer.

If you have any idea, please let me know.

its not posible

unless you make a reseller account with ip 2 as the shared ip for the domains you want hosted.
To add those accounts to the different ip you will have to log into the reseller account to add them

DirectAdmin has this feature but cPanel doesn't? To me this is very important that I can have multiple shared IPs under one account. What about nameservers? Can all resellers, regardless of IP, share the main servers nameservers or do I need to dish out additional IP addresses so resellers can have their own nameservers?

Thanks for the reply. In order to adjust I ended up creating several accounts, making them each a reseller, and then I assigned each an IP and made it shared for all accounts under them. They all share the main servers nameservers though. Just seems backwards from DirectAdmin.

Which is extra work for something that seems ridiculous. Will a later release every include the ability to allow root or one reseller to possess numerous shared IPs for setting up accounts?

reseller sharing main IP don't want this!

Hello,

So let me get this straight. I want to give a reseller a dedicated IP on one of my cpanel servers that already has a main(shared IP)

Under that dedicated IP that is assigned to the reseller they cannot create accounts on that IP? They all go to the main box(shared IP)

For example I created a reseller with ip : 123.123.123.89
The servers main shared IP is 123.123.123.80

I create an account in the resellers WHM and it does infact show that the account is
assigned to ip 123.123.123.89 even in root WHM and in http.conf as Vhost under that IP

But the reseller tries to access the account with /~username on .89 gets a page not found. It is infact sitting on the main shared .80 IP

What the heck is going on?

I have a ticket open with Cpanel but it has been 2 days now and they are not getting back with me. They started to at first then all of a sudden stopped.

Thanks in advance

Shawn
