    Thanks for this thread.

We also experienced the Server ran out of memory as a result of the upgrade to 64 and this solr service.
which we found in the syslog
    java invoked oom-killer

I have raised a support ticket in meantime I will be disabling it in service manager.

    Hello @MrMatt,

I moved this post to it's own thread, as the previous thread related to general information about the Solr service.

Could you verify if this system uses CloudLinux? We have an internal case (CPANEL-12782) related to the cPanel OOM functionality sending notifications for cgroups (this isn't supposed to happen). This can lead to the tailwatchd process consuming a large amount of CPU due to the excessive amount of notifications.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

To update, the issue associated with CPANEL-12782 is fixed with cPanel 64.0.18:

Fixed case CPANEL-12782: Avoid sending OOM notifications for cgroups.

    Thank you.
