Anyone else have the issue where if you tweak security and enable open_basedir that apache will not restart on its own?

I have to ssh in and start it manually. Didnt want to submit a bug report on it if I was the only one affected.

Today, after changing open_basedir settings, my apache got lost somewhere. WHM showed apache as running but no website was responding (all other services were working without any problems). I restarted apache through WHM and it was fine. In the past I didn't have any problems with this, ot may be a new bug.

Seen this on two servers (RH73/9) in the last few days.

It happens every time, on 7.3 and 9.0.

Just remember if you tweak any open_basedir seting to restrat either via http start from the command line, or using whm's restart Apache feature.

It would be nice if this was scripted in.

Actually, if I am not mistaken, the first release for open_basedir did restart apache,

Not sure why it doesn't work anymore.

Apparently not too many people care.
