Hello Everyone,

We've been getting a lot of e-mails from Cpanel customers inquiring into the status of OpenBB 1.0.0 Final. Given that, I thought it would be only fair to give you an update:

Our initial plan was to finish any remaining bugs, and release without additional features, as development of OpenBB 2 was progressing quite well. Since then, our users have spoken up and made it clear that they do not wish to wait for OpenBB 2 for some of the features that OpenBB 1 is lacking. Therefore, we have decided to slow development of obb2 and focus the bulk of our attention on obb1. Since this decision was made, we have added IP ban options, reverse lookup, an improved permission system, default design selector (as well as the ability to force users to a specific design), more efficient template control, and improved performance (current loadtimes average .04-.09)

I'd like to thank you all for your patience, and apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause. I can say with confidence that I don't think you will be disappointed. :)

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns related to OpenBB, please feel free to head over to http://community.iansoft.net or e-mail me personally at: [email protected]
