    Hi,

I need to open a port on my server, but I'm not quite sure what cPanel's involvement is with iptables. Does cPanel just work with the acctboth chain for bandwidth measuring (using Bandmin)? Will it flush any rules I add?

Where can I find more information about this?

To which chain should I add this rule?

    TIA.

    _da.

If you need a strong firewall to use with cPanel, try CSF. It'll easily allow you to open/close ports, and I've never heard of any problems using it with cPanel.

Thanks, but I don't need another firewall.

Turns out the port wasn't actually blocked.
