Optimizing servers?

    Any idea on how to get the best performance out of a server? I'm a advanced programmer but when it comes with server and SSH I'm not exactly the best :( lol

    There are many things you can do to optimize your server. One thread probably could not do it justice.

    MySQL is a good place to start though.

    cpanel is slow, is there a way to optimize cpanel itself? what are the optimized settings in cnf file, if there is?
