I was using dnsreport.com for years, and then they started charging. I bought one year for $39.99 and now they are almost doubling the price to $79.99. I'm honestly afraid they are going to keep raising prices....

Is there any other comporable dns report sites out there that you guys use?

I could understand the dnsreport guys wanting to get paid, but $79 is just greedy. At those rates expect to see more companies popping up doing it for less.

i used to use dnsstuff.com. but they followed dnsreport's attitude and started charging for it. any kind of money is too expensive for a service i'll use once or twice every few months.

Im another user who doesnt get it. they must have many thousands of people slamming the site hundreds of times a day to justify that kind of cost. It will be interesting to see how this washes out

I begrudgingly signed up for the ~$35 account on dnsstuff but they have now started spamming me every few days either out of ignorance that I already have a paid account or as an attempt to upsell. Either way - Im not going to renew at the end of the contract. Pretty poor marketing to drive away your paying customers with spam

Makes me wonder how much they could be making from ads and subscriptions. And how many more subscriptions would they have at $10 a year or less.

I agree with the intodns setup, it looks good.
I'm in the process of developing my own all inclusive (spam lookups, etc), but it's something that's been shelved due to, well, it being just a 'hobby' site.

$80 a year is incredibly selfish of dnsreport, and if they were looking to drive the market to alternative solutions, well, they did it. Even if they dropped that to $50, it'd still be a bit for most people
