I am sure this has been asked many times, and the search feature always comes up with Awstats or webalizer - are there any other stat programs out there that work with Cpanel?

You can check and enable the available stats programs from WHM under "WHM >> Tweak Settings >> Stats Programs". You will find Analog Stats under that menu as well other than webalizer and awstats.

webalizer is outdated and gives very wrong results, analog is also outdated and gives equally bad results (last version was from 2004/2005 or something).

the only real log analyzer that actually works and gives "ok-ish" results is AWSTATS.

    a few things about AWSTATS:

    the good: gives accurate results
the bad: doesn't have many kinds of results, missing many features found in google analytics.

i believe cPanel developers should completely remove webalizer and analog from cPanel, their inaccuracy makes them worthless.

i agree that Analog and webalizer wont do the trick, - but I also know that since I have been having issues with Awstats not running nor working and through research Ive done there ar a lot of complaints with Awstats not cooperating at all with Cpanel. So that's why I was asking.

Im still waiting till tomorow to see if Awstats will work yet for the server I am on .

the only problems i've seen, is with the per-domain config file that cPanel generates, somethings those files are broken or the session has timed out, so i remove them by hand and let cPanel re-generate them.

unfortunately, we don't have any other option unless we switch to Google Analytics and stop using these stats from cPanel.

cPanel/WHM currently uses Webalizer 2.21-02 which was released January 13, 2009. If your web statistics software is not generating accurate ouput, please let our technical analysts take a look at your server: http://tickets.cPanel.net

I am unable to replicate the behavior you're reporting, so having our technical analysts take a look at your server to see what is happening as it is happening is a good way for us to understand what's going on so corrective action can be taken.

i'm sorry cPanelDavidG, your reply does not reflect the reality of how bad webalizer and analog are.

the "latest" version of webalizer that you mention is nothing more than a bug fix with few new features on top of the 2002 release! (7 years ago?)

for example, webalizer doesn't understand "non-http bandwidth", it counts them all as http traffic.

in addition, it doesn't detect all the current bots, spiders, crawlers...

it truly doesn't match the logging abilities for awstats or google analytics... by far!
