Hi gentry hope ya doin fine

I have a vps optimized root cpanel and just decided to change a username of one of my accounts, the thing here is that my old username had 10 characters and without knowing I setted new username to 7 characters ,so to not make it long to all of ya -I realized my programs and stuff didnt load on that account [the one username was changed] and right away I capizzco! realized that it went off configuration so I tried to reset it to old username but my host told me there was nothing that could be done since he implemented the new cpanel that only allows 8 characters since he moved from other server and I truly feel on a rollercoaster from hell so I hope someone can help us in this.

How can I program my cpanel to admit 10 character username?
