Outgoing email not getting scanned

Hi,

I just installed clamav from Manage Plugins and it installed fine.
After installing i configured it also to scan home, mail etc.

But when I tried to send EICAR test virus through webmail (Roundcube) it did'nt report the virus file and attached it and even the mail got sent. (Though it was rejected by the gmail) but why clamav did'nt scan the file when it was being uploaded as attachment ?

How to fix this ?
