    Hope someone can help...

I'm using cPanel 10.8.0-R27 and my configurations for outlook express do not function anymore... i cannot send or receive email from outlook?

The error message i get is the following:

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'mail.**********.co.uk', Server: 'mail.**********.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Authentication failed (bad password?)', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

I am also using Outlook Express version 6 (SP2)

I have done everything i know how, the correct settings and user names, passwords etc... it is very strange knowing that it all worked before?

I use a firewall and anti virus email scanning, but this has not been a problem before...

I can access the emails via the webmail client, but it is a pain not to just read/send them via outlook!!!

    Any help is appreciated

    Thank you

    Glenn

    I meant your server OS

you dont know if your on a VPS I take it your not the server owner ??

if you have root access run the three comands from the command line they should fix you up

    service xinetd stop
    service cpanel restart
    service xinetd start

you need to open a SSH session you would need a SSH client putty etc

if your log is not root for your WHM then your not the server owner and you would need to contact your host
