Outlook SMTP Outgoing Problem

    Can connect and retrieve mail fine, but the outgoing smtp mail does not send, fails to send. Can send from cPanel webmail, but not Outlook. All settings are correct login, mail server(according to cPanel), but cant send outgoing mail! It CAN connect to the host when watching it, but still fails to send. My computer end or what? Thanks.

    That sounds like your own ISP is blocking external SMTP servers (Port 25). Which ISP are you using?

    You can either specify your ISP's SMTP server in your outgoing mail settings in Outlook or if you're managing cPanel on the server enable exim on another port (e.g. 26) and specify that port number and your own SMTP server address in Outlook.

    Hey, thanks for quick reply. Im using Optimum Online, from Cablevision.
