/ partition is still growth or full

    hii, sorry if i didn't take time to read all the threads, but my question is very urgent
    i have the / partition full on our cpanel server.
    the / partition is always growth.
    what the file on / partition can make the space growth?
    i have check all file in / partition, but all the size is under 1Mb.

    Run the following command on the server and paste the output:

    du -ah --max-depth=1 /

    You need to login to server SSH as a root user to run this command.

    Can you execute the following commands from SSH & provide us the output of : df -h & fdisk -l

    I can help you with freeing up the disk space on your server :) Please PM me the details of your server..

    freshorange were you able to find what caused it?

    Im running with the same problem on a REDHAT Enterprise 3 today went to a 100% full / partition I've cleaned everything I can think off..
    (notice the Win95 Ext'd Partition I dont remember i I had it in the beginning)

    Found problem

    there were several core files in the /root directory I erased them and problem solved....
