    Hi all,

I have a question on password protected directories: once a user has signed in, is there a way to sign out? Or is there at least a way to force the session to time out, i.e. to force the browser to 'forget' the password after a while?

If I understand correctly, browsers remember the password until the cache is cleared; I don't like this, because it poses problems when accessing a password protected directory from a shared computer (e.g. from an office, an internet cafe, etc).

    Thanks!

As soon as the browser is closed the session should expire. The user shouldn't tick the "remember my password" in IE, or the "remember" button in FF to retain password if using a browser at a computer cafe or office setting.

In cPanel there is a logout button and it should be used.
