Password Strength Confusion

    I'd like to be able to require users to have a decently secure password, but the strength meter isn't making any sense. The password "password1" (a terrible password) is rated as 28, while "aiusdlbasldiua" (a decent-ish password) is rated as 2, and "sbkl#5uby%s9bdSak&u2Gls*dhb6aWksi!d0basKu5d@lkU2a" (a fantastic password) is rated as 0.

    I'm running (the latest STABLE). Can anyone explain what's going on here, or better yet how to actually set some reasonable password requirements?

    The best way to get the password strength checker to detect a strong password is to use the built-in generator for the password. Please feel free to vote and add feedback to the existing feature request for a better password strength system:
