    Dear Cpanel Forums,

We're currently having a persistent problem with legitimate Paypal emails being rejected. What complicates matters further, is that other legitimate Paypal emails are being received without any issue at all.

I've included an example of both the failed and successful emails.

So here is an example of an email that isn't getting through:

    Code:
    [B]Event[/B]: rejected
    [B]Sender User[/B]: ---
    [B]Sender Domain[/B]:
    [B]Sender[/B]: [EMAIL]member@paypal.co.uk[/EMAIL]
    [B]Sent Time[/B]: Nov 16, 2015 3:51:15 PM
    [B]Sender Host[/B]: mx2.slc.paypal.com
    [B]Sender IP[/B]: 173.0.84.227
    [B]Authentication[/B]: unauthorized
    [B]Spam Score[/B]: 0
    [B]Recipient[/B]: ---
    [B]Delivered To[/B]:
    [B]deliveryuser[/B]: ---
    [B]deliverydomain[/B]: ---
    [B]Router[/B]: reject
    [B]Transport[/B]: **rejected**
    [B]Out Time[/B]: Nov 16, 2015 3:51:15 PM
    [B]ID[/B]: 1ZyM4S-000F1D-8O
    [B]Delivery Host[/B]: mx2.slc.paypal.com
    [B]Delivery IP[/B]: 173.0.84.227
    [B]Size[/B]: 0 bytes
    [B]Result[/B]: Sender verify failed

And here is an example of an email that gets through without any issues:

    Code:
    [B]Event[/B]: success
    [B]Sender User[/B]: ---
    [B]Sender Domain[/B]:
    [B]Sender[/B]: [EMAIL]webform@paypal.co.uk[/EMAIL]
    [B]Sent Time[/B]: Nov 17, 2015 10:31:10 AM
    [B]Sender Host[/B]: lvs-ipout-03-data1.paypalcorp.com
    [B]Sender IP[/B]: 173.224.161.145
    [B]Authentication[/B]: localdelivery
    [B]Spam Score[/B]: -6.1
    [B]Recipient[/B]: ---
    [B]Delivered To[/B]: ---
    [B]deliveryuser[/B]: ---
    [B]deliverydomain[/B]: ---
    [B]Router[/B]: virtual_user
    [B]Transport[/B]: virtual_userdelivery
    [B]Out Time[/B]: Nov 17, 2015 10:31:10 AM
    [B]ID[/B]: 1ZydXW-0005Dn-QO
    [B]Delivery Host[/B]: localhost
    [B]Delivery IP[/B]: 127.0.0.1
    [B]Size[/B]: 58.46 KB
    [B]Result[/B]: Accepted

Hopefully there is an obvious reason as to why this is happening. It is very confusing to me, as I'm not so much a web server administration of emails as I am a web developer.

I would greatly appreciate any help on the matter.

    Many Thanks,
    Ryan

I'd take a look at /var/log/exim_rejectlog to see exactly what's going on and to have some more info for when an actual expert looks at this post.

    Hello :)

Could you search for a message that failed in /var/log/exim_mainlog and let us know the output? EX:

    Code:
    exigrep user@domain /var/log/exim_mainlog
    Thank you.
