I am thinking installing Percona as a replacement for MySQL, mostly because i read that Percona (compared to MariaDB and MySQL) works better with InnoDB that xenForo is using...

Installing Percona will it cause any issues if i later want to upgrade lets say my PHP, my cPanel, EasyApache or anything else?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello :)

The following cPanel blog should be helpful:

Replacing MySQL with Percona in cPanel 11.36

Using this method should allow you to continue using cPanel/EasyApache as you normally would, but it's important to remember that this setup is considered to be unsupported by the cPanel/WHM team.

    Thank you.
