perl module error

    hello i have a dedicated server, and when i installed a perl module and uninstalled it, it left the folder still on the server
    -so when i try to install it again it says it's impossible
    -i try access the files and delete that folder, but it say permission denied
    -how can i access those files so permission is allowed?

    How are you trying to remove and install Perl? Also from where are you trying to delete the folders and what error you receive?

    To remove the folders, ssh to your server and execute the command

    rm -rf /path/to/the/folder

    Make sure you give the correct path else you will end up deleting something else and make a mess of the situation. If you are unsure, ask someone to check it for you.

    i don't understand how to access the ssh, i go to some account n cpanel, and it ask for server, i give ip of server it say invalid.

    the error i get throuhg ftp is permission denied and when i try to install image::magick which was installed but when i uninstalled it now it say this error when i try to install


    make: *** [Magick.o] Error 1
    JCRISTY/PerlMagick-6.32.tar.gz
    /usr/bin/make -- NOT OK

    CPAN: YAML loaded ok (v0.65)
    Running make install
    Make had returned bad status, install seems impossible
    perlmod--Install done

    To SSH to your server you can install and use one of the following applications on your own PC: Putty or SecureCRT.

    thanks, its still with that code doesn't remove it... say permission denied
