After upgrading to the latest CPanel release, I can no longer run scripts that has /usr/bin/perl. Instead I have to add a -w at the back of /usr/bin/perl.

What is the difference between /usr/bin/perl and /usr/bin/perl -w?

    normally -w turns on warnings
for a script to be unable to run without -w, would normally mean that warnings are enabled and cannot be disabled, I really wonder what happened to your perl install

We also have this "-w" issue on about 25 servers. That PErl fiasco at the end of last year has really wigged things out.

And one server doesn't work with the "-w" paramter either. We've even just gone through the Perl581 installer on layer1 and it doesn't help.
