Has anyone tried or know how to integrate perldesk into cpanel?

It would be really convient to have my clients be able to create support tickets within cpanel without having to login to perldesk.

Thanks.

I have not seen it done, but if cpanel added it, that would be great!

i dont think cpanel will be able to add it due to the owner not giving permission. I read this from another post where the creator of fantastico wanted to bundle perldesk into his script.

But that is not what i wanted. I was wondering if someone actually managed to integrate it into cpanel on their own? I already downloaded perldesk from perldesk's site.

I do remember reading a post awhile ago here that someone did try or has it integrated.

Thanks.

I tried to do this myself. Basically, you can install 3rd party apps in the /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/ directory. Then from the control panel, you would access it as:

http://domain.com:2082/3rdparty/yourapp

This works fine for any PHP scripts I try.

However, when I try this with perldesk it does not work. I have tried many different options, but none work. Maybe because it's perl? I don't know exactly. But that would be the direction to head in if you want to try.

Yeah, I looked into it, but was unable to intergrate it.

And s3kk3y is right, PerlDesk is not giveing permission to do it as I have read the post at cpanel themes:

I think the permission issue has to do with distributing an application that install PerlDesk for you automatically. There is no reason you can't install it with cpanel on your own. Just obey the copyright and all is well.
