I have been facing issue with permission of /var/cpanel/users. Every day after 12:00 AM, permissions are changed. I have set the cron though , but i need to know that, which thing is causing this issue and how can i fix this permanently.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Could you provide more information about what the permissions are changing from and to on your system?

    Thank you.

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Permission for /var/cpanel/users is set to 0711 by default. But, it changes to 0600 each day due to which i face "Internal server error" in cPanel, webmail and WHM, when login.

    Hi Rehan,

Please make sure there is no cron to change permission of /var/cpanel/users.

    Hello,

Do you have any custom root cron jobs (/var/spool/cron/root) or cron jobs in the /etc/cron* directories could alter the permissions on the filesystem?

    Thank you.
