I am becoming a little annoyed about never knowing whats going to change on my servers, every time I update I find myself having to dig around to try and see what cPanel have changed which is time consuming and a process that I shouldnt really need to do.

I understand that the cPanel guys are busy and that they cant document everything but a general overview of changes would greatly help both us admins & the cPanel support engineers (By reducing the amount of tickets they end up with)

I am a paranoid sys-admin and like to know exactly what has changed so that I can forsee any potential problems that may arise, I'm sure im not the only one.

I'm hoping enough people share my point of view on this - enough that cPanel will notice and hopefully change!

Please complete the poll

TIA

Wish you luck on this as we have expressed concerns over the changelog for several years now. Cpanel will sometimes keep the changelog up to date but most of the time it falls way behind.

It would be nice if they would keep the changelog up but don't be suprised if its not. The developers are working on many major core changes to WHM/Cpanel and I doubt they will take the time to document all the changes coming.

One good thing going for us is the support ticket system is taken care of quickly. If you have a issue they will address the problem quickly as long as you do not abuse the support team with minor issues that you should take care of yourself. Not directing this last statement at anyone just a general statement.

At very least, let us know WHEN there has been an update.
I see the last update in the changelog for me is May 23rd?

Yet I've updated several times since then.

Have to agree, changelog is crucial to my business. I always like to see what's changed in order to make a decision on upgrading. On the "release" port there is an update and I have absolutely no clue what has changed.

It is so annoying waiting until stable releases when another tree may work if we actually saw a changelog.
