What benefit is there to importing a pgp key into cpanel?

Thanks for any insight into this.

So that you can give people your public key so that they can send you encrypted *private* messages. It's definatly usefull if you have alot of stuff that don't need to leak, you can also encrypt files using pgp.

    Thanks for the info.

So, let me see if I have this straight:

You import your private key into cpanel and give someone your public key so that they can encrypt the email at their end.

    They send you an email.

You then download the email they sent you into your email client. Are you saying that because your private key is imported into cpanel that the email you get will be decrypted?
